What does one say on these types of pages? If you've clicked onto this website and read the landing page, you'll already have a good idea of what Rooted & Rural is about, so there is little point in repeating that information here!
So, as I suppose this page is meant to be all about me…here goes!
I live in a small, stone-built cottage, which probably dates back to around the mid-1700s. It is situated close to the Somerset Levels, but thankfully not quite close enough to worry about flooding!
I am well past retirement age, but as we know, age is just a number - although sometimes, especially in the dark days of winter, it does feel like quite a big number!
As you will have gathered from the content of this website, I have an enquiring mind and a rather eclectic range of interests. My head is full of what is probably quite a lot of useless, random information, gathered over the years, and I am still gathering. However, some of this randomness turns out to be of interest to others.
I enjoy sharing my observations, knowledge, wanderings and ponderings, so decided to bring them together through my project, Rooted & Rural.
Oh yes, and if you have looked at the photographs on here, it will come as no surprise that I am not a professional photographer. They are all just taken on my mobile phone, as and when something piques my interest.
